
Washington City Paper is throwing two fabulous parties this March and April to promote the release of their Best-Of issue. Party Hat Rodeo is at the helm of planning both the Best-Of Launch Party in March, and the Best-Of Bash in April. Craft Mutiny is a group of Washington, DC Indie Crafters who believe in the creating, selling, and buying of non-mass-produced handmade goods. As a member of this group, Kim is proud to promote the next Craft Mutiny Market, which is coming up in May in the DC area. Stay tuned for more details.

Washington City Paper’s Crafty Bastards Arts and Crafts Fair is adding a second date and location to its 2008 calendar. The biggest and most anticipated indie craft extravaganza in DC is now expanding to Silver Spring, MD, by hosting Crafty Jr., on Saturday, June 28th at Pyramid Atlantic. While the big Crafty Bastards is still slated to take place in September, Crafty Jr. will be focused on new crafters, workshops, and promoting the Silver Spring Arts and Crafts community. As one of the three main organizers of this event, Kim is excited to be once again working for the Washington City Paper on this fair, which is currently celebrating its 5th year!

Women In The Life Association is hosting its first annual film festival, ‘By, For, and About Lesbians Of Color’. This festival will be held in conjunction with the 2008 Gay Pride Week in Washington, DC. WITLA is a social justice organization which works to advance the rights of lesbians of color through cultural affirmation, education and advocacy. Party Hat Rodeo is excited to once again work with this amazing organization comprised of a diverse group of lesbians, and to be part of this first-of-its-kind film festival in the Nation’s Capital.

The Crafty Bastards Arts and Crafts Fair is now in it’s 5th year, and what a better way to celebrate than to put on the best Crafty Bastards yet! This year’s Crafty Bastards, brought to the public by the Washington City Paper, is coming back to Adams Morgan at the end of September. Be prepared for another great day filled with more than 100 indie crafters, entertainment, workshops, a bicycle valet, and lots of additions and surprises. More details will be posted soon.
